boot sale picture!

So, just to explain, the picture of the two of us at a boot sale marks the beginning of our adventure!

For three Sunday mornings last month we were up at 5am to go flog our stuff at boot sales. Boot sale 1 - great fun, bootsale 2 - not bad, boot sale 3 - the novelty had worn off and I (Debs) nearly cried!!! Not for the extreme pain of getting rid of my lovely clothes..... but just because it was totally overwhelming.

Did you know that every Sunday morning by 5.30 am avid boot salers arrive at Burseldon boot sale to catch the earliest bargains, before we had even parked the car on our pitch people were asking us -' got any jewellery mate?', any DVD's?', one person even before we had unloaded unpacked a bag of our stuff looking for a bargainous pair of shoes - and yes, there were alot of shoes!

So, overwhelming as it was, it was a very liberating experience. How on earth can two people have so much stuff? It is unbelievable! We felt really good about it though, it was great to see people pleased with the bargains they got from buying our stuff, and they were bargains indeed - phil and I weren't too great at the haggling thing!

It feels really good to give minimalism a go, here's to a minimalist boat and life in London!
